How to make possible meetings which remove cultural barriers between travelers and host countries?

How to feel a country which moves, dreams, struggles?

By the travels that she proposes, TAMADI wants her travelers to be placed in meeting situations, in order to mix cultures, different human stories, so that mutual wonderment can be possible.

Tamadi succeeds to go beyond the stereotypes and the folklore moving away from usual places of interests. Tamadi and her local partners bet to the immersion, giving the priority to local transports and home family accommodation. Travelers, in groups from 4 to 7 people , are accompanied by a local peasant guide who speaks French , and who is from the partner organization.

Travels far away from our usual marks, in terms of comfort, meals, pace of life, climate, and culture: it means notably, the utilization of rudimentary outsides toilets and the « African shower » (a bucket of water, hot or cold, with a cup). However, this immersion in the daily life which Tamadi and her partners propose you is probably the best approach to permit meetings in total simplicity.

Traveler's words...

« We have accompanied our donkey which would have liked to carry us at the same time as our suitcases but we have preferred walking on the road, mixing with the men who came back from the fields or sometimes helping the women carrying on our head their bundle of woods, which made everybody have fun. » Daniel and Michel

« Our hosts made us stay in their house and let us have a bedroom,

with a bed, a chair, and a table!!! Everything was basic, but when the other tourists take advantage of the comfort of an hotel, the European breakfast or an air-conditioned and open car, we take advantage of a warm welcome, of emotional meetings, of musical evenings, or long talks. We are no more tourists but travelers who are lucky enough to share, through these transports, this accommodation, and the daily life of their hosts. All the time, they prove us that the most important is

not what we have, but what we are!» Isabelle and Jean-Jacques

« Here, the life is rough; the unnecessary thing has not its place!! I found there simplicity and human warmth throughout the travel, in the various transports (going by the delivery tricycle that we have pushed by night in the bush, the fishing vessel with the pleasure to be carried by the Niger…) or in every village that so warmly welcomed us. » Sylvie
